Deezer has secured €100 million in new funding.
The financing was led by Len Blavatnik’s Access Industries, with participation from Orange; it will be used to increase customer acquisition efforts around the world and accelerate the introduction of new products, features and growth initiatives.
The streaming platform has also expanded its catalogue to over 40 million songs, claiming to now the largest music catalogue available globally.
The news follows months of changes for Deezer, which has doubled its talk (radio, audiobook and podcast) offerings, launched sports content, and expanded partnerships with the likes of BMW, Sonos and Three.
