Deezer announces its latest venue partnership with not one but two of the UK’s biggest and busiest venues.
The France based streaming platform will now act as the exclusive streaming partner at Manchester Arena and Glasgow’s SSE Hydro.
Deezer is set to launch a selection of specially curated content from artists appearing at the arena ahead of gigs. This content will also be made available on each of the venue’s websites and social media platforms.
As the official streaming partners for Manchester Arena, the venue will also be offering Deezer sponsored Wi-Fi. This integration will provide gig-goers access to Deezer’s audio library of 53 million tracks, enabling fans to include streamed music in their experience.
Deezer’s VP of Northern & Southern EMEA, Phil Moore said: “We are excited to partner with two of the UK’s largest live music venues, bringing fans in both cities even more ways to enjoy music. Our dedicated playlists will fuel the anticipation around a performance and allow fans to easily find compilations of their favourite acts.”
General Manager of Manchester Arena James Allen adds: “We are proud of our partnership with Deezer, it is such a natural fit bringing together two key growth areas of music industry and highlights our dedication to enhancing customer experience. We are excited to be paving the way for greater connectivity with the installation of a brand new Deezer-sponsored WiFi system, which will be operational this autumn across the whole arena for music fans to enjoy.”
Ross Easton, head of commercial, SSE Hydro, said: “We are delighted to bring Deezer on as an official partner for The SSE Hydro. Their specially curated playlists will give fans a new way to experience artists before they see them live on the Hydro stage – they can listen to the newest music, relive the classics and share the pre-gig excitement! This platform will bring an added layer to what it means to attend an event here.”
